  • Alexander Camp @ Alexander Montessori: One of our favorites when it comes to school based fun for little ones. A family-owned and operated camp serving children at four locations. Their focus is to provide a variety of fun challenges for campers, providing them with new activities and opportunities to learn new skills. They alternate indoor and outdoor events and have fun, rain or shine, in their 8,000 sq. ft. air-conditioned gymnasium!   • RE Academics and Sports Programs @ Ransom Everglades: Ransom gives opportunities to engage in sports and other activities through a variety of two-week camps (over 12 camp options available). These interactive, skill-building camps are hosted by master teachers and varsity coaches in a variety of activities.   • Camp CTW:@Florida Christian School: This Camp is powered by the creators of famous Boosterthon specifically for elementary schoolers. Activities include “Splash City” with water slides, splash pads, art projects and many chances to play and be active. Campers are grouped by age for fun outdoor activities, with a mix of indoor time to get out of the heat. Outdoor time is filled with relay races, water games, obstacle runs, and playground time. Indoor time is spent doing activities like arts & crafts, science experiments, tie-dying camp shirts, team building activities, games in the gym, including Fun Friday events weekly.   • Hurricane Aquatics Swim Camp@UM:  Each summer, Hurricane Aquatics hosts its popular Swim Camp for swimmers of age 7-12. To participate in Swim Camp, each camper must be 7 years old  and able to swim 25 yds (the width of the pool).  This celebrated day camp, based at the beautiful outdoor pool at the Whitten University Center on the Coral Gables campus, provides instruction in the areas of swimming in a group setting, springboard diving, and stroke technique. Staff includes energetic and knowledgeable coaches and instructors who are eager to share their passion for the sport of swimming. The impact of experienced counselors combined with various water and field group activities results in a fun and rewarding summer experience.   • ICA Miami High School Portfolio Prep: ICA Miami’s two-week Virtual Portfolio Prep Program is developed for students interested in furthering their arts education. Taught by museum professionals and college mentors, this two-week online program equips participants with college readiness skills, such as advanced portfolio development and best practices on how to digitize their work.   • Junior Naturalist@ Deering Estate: A five day training course at the Deering Estate that encourages youth to take an active role in environmental stewardship and education and prepares them to serve as peer mentors. The course includes certifications in American Red Cross First Aid and Adult/Child CPR, in addition to an introduction to basic canoeing, South Florida ecosystems, and Leave No Trace. This counselor- in-training program provides service learning hours to participants and prepares the Junior Naturalist for experiences, internships, and other opportunities in environmental studies, natural sciences, nature based recreation, and volunteerism.  This course also allows youth to assist staff and enjoy being mentors to the Summer Camp participants during Summer Camp Sessions after they have completed the week-long training. After the training session has been completed, participants must be available to volunteer for an entire camp session (Monday through Friday) at a time.   • ICA Summer Portfolio Prep 2022: Middle School Application: ICA Miami’s two-week Summer Portfolio Prep program is designed to prepare incoming students in grades 6–8 for applying to art magnet high schools. Participants will receive guidance from museum educators to better prepare for the competitive application process through portfolio review and sketchbook-building exercises. Students must present a current portfolio or works in progress to participate in this program. Throughout the course, students will explore the school application process and audition requirements to understand the level of performance expected for successful acceptance into art school.
