Summer Camps 2020
Since 2012 we have been putting together our list of most recommended camps in Miami. We research and talk to over 400 camps in the area, and we know almost everyone by now! What has happened this year is totally insane and we are still trying to process it. Due to COVID-19, we are working closely with Summer Camp organizers to bring you updated info. As I said in my Summer Camps 2020 Getting real post everyone is doing their best to continue to create memories of summer while taking all necessary precautions acco rding to health and safety guidelines. While camps are navigating different scenarios and modalities here is a list with basic information of those camps we trust and share every year. Academic/Virtual Summer Camps

Alexander Montessori Camp: One of our favorites when it comes to indoor/outdoor fun. Alexander Montessori, like Most everyone is still waiting on announcements from Miami-Dade County regarding the conditions under which summer camps can operate in order to render decisions. As of the last update, all onsite programs through June 19th have been canceled. ACADEMIC LABS FOR CHILDREN GOING INTO GRADES 1-6 They will start off the summer offering their Elementary Academic Labs (Reading Lab, Math Lab, and Spanish Lab) virtually. Camp Gulliver: Providing a safe environment for your children is their top priority. Due to ongoing social distancing restrictions, they have restructured their 2020 Summer programs. ICA Miami Middle School Portfolio Prep: ICA Miami offers a one-week Portfolio Prep designed to prepare incoming 7th and 8th grade students who intend to apply to magnet and charter arts schools. Participants will be guided by museum educators and college mentors to prepare for the competitive application process through portfolio review and sketchbook building exercises. Throughout the course, participants will review schools’ application and audition requirements to understand the level of performance expected if accepted into art school.
